WILSON RAUL VARGAS TORRES, AKA Nene, was born in the north of the South American continent. More precisely, in Bogotá, Colombia in 1983.
He is an acrobat, juggler, actor and body-mover. In the beginning, his learning was practically all self-taught, allowing for the unorthodox mixture of many disciplines and the prioritization of Creativity.
Currently he is part of a physical theatre collective, Spettatori (www.spettatori.net) and finishing his Masters Degree in Physical Theater at the Dimitri Theater School in Verscio, Switzerland.
Nene has had the pleasure of studying with Ivo Dimchev, Peeping Tom, Davide Giovanzana, Sergey Peripetzki, Sean Gandini, Alexie Ivanoj, Corina Vitale, David Zambrano, Slovaks, Felipe Garcia, Antonio Benitez, Luis Brusca, and Ludor Citrik.
He has worked with diferent circus, dance, and theater companies, such as: Circo Teatro Muro de Espuma, La Esfinge, Coco y Nene Hermanos (Colombia) Art-o de Caracas, Cie of New Dance NEODANZA (Venezuela), Gandini Juggling Project (England), Clowns Without Borders (Spain), Lab. Musakuminata (Colombia-Venezuela), Cie de Comedia dell´arte I Divorati, and Propolis.
Ecuador, Venezuela, Cuba, Panama, Rep. Dominicana, Holland, France, Spain, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, Finland, Check Republique, Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Colombia have all had the opportunity to see his performances.
Nene has also taught in Venezuela, Ecuador, Palestine, Switzerland and Colombia.
